Cacho is a designer that became a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, startup advisor, mentor, developer and artist. His work has been featured in Tech Crunch, Forbes Colombia, Forbes Mexico, Business Insider, Los Angeles Times, DesignBoom and Arch Daily among others.

With 15 years of experience, prior to launching his own startups, he worked closely as an architect for Fernando Romero and Norman Foster, as a UX researcher and urban analyst for Off The Grid, as a design and business strategist for ArtSpan and as a UX consultant for Airbnb, Google, Meta, and Dropbox among others.

Among notable achievements and awards he graduated summa cum laude from California College of the Arts in San Francisco, CA with a Bachelors in Architecture. Won the AIA SF Architect Award upon graduating along with the Alpha RoChi Medal.

In 2016 when he decided to transition from architecture to startups he spent a year building MVPs and working at nights with Luisfer De Pombo, his first co-founder, to bootstrap their first startup. Within that year they were selected by IDEO as a top 10 finalist for an impact challenge they held and were offered $50,000 USD to start Food Flow. They won 1st place at an IATA Hackathon at LinkedIn headquarters which financially allowed them to bootstrap and launch Wing It. By the end of that year they were admitted to the YC W18 batch, finally quit their jobs and everything changed for Cacho.

He has gone on to fundraise $20m+ for multiple endeavors from notable investors such as IDEO Ventures, Soma Capital, Blake Irving, Y Combinator, Jason Calacanis, Michael Seibel, Mercy Corps, IDB, Adrian Garcia Aranyos, Ramon Matteos, and others.

Most of what he has learned is a consequence of his relentless pursuit to build countless MVP’s, grind for 200+ hours in hackathons, 1,500+ hours in design sprints, 100+ hours of lectures, 500+ hours of podcast, 300+ hours of audiobooks, 2,000+ hours of reading, over 250+ hours of meditation, 500+ hours of video tutorials, some courses, trainings and certifications and the infinite hours of unconditional love, support, and advice of his family, friends, mentors and investors.

In his free time he is off making killer sour gummies, surfing, at a vipassana or traveling.

But most importantly, he is enjoying the journey.
